Library Social Stalking

I follow a lot of libraries on social media. It’s exciting to see all the creative ways that they are engaging with their patrons. Earlier this summer, Iowa City Public Library (IA) posted a picture on Instagram of their summer staff t-shirts. The caption read “Have we started a baseball team? Nope, our summer staff t-shirts have arrived! We’re ready to play ball – or at least direct you to our collection of sports books and movies.”  The shirts say On Your Mark, Get Set…Read and look like baseball t-shirts. What a fun idea!

The City of Commerce Public Library (CA) posted a fun video to Instagram. Check it out here! I love their summer reading t-shirts and how they are promoting their summer reading program. It makes me want to join and win a prize too! It looks like the library staff had a great time creating the video.

Austin Public Library (TX) is one of my favorite libraries to follow on social media. They have some of the most creative programming and displays, and they post great pictures. They even offer Piloxing classes at one of their branches. See for yourself, click here. How cool is that?!

Libraries accomplish so many great things because of the amazing teamwork of their staff members. The ODILO team is honored that we get to work with your team!  Whether you have a question, need to encumber funds near the end of your fiscal year, or need to build a special digital collection, we are here to assist you.
